New England's Largest Game Ranch

Hillside Game Ranch is the largest game ranch in New England, open 365 days a year. Our preserve offers hunters the opportunity to pursue a variety of game animals, including, buffalo, red stag, Russian wild boar, and fallow deer.

You won’t need a license to hunt on the game ranch, and children are welcome to hunt when accompanied by a parent or guardian.

 

Game Preserve Animal Hunts

At Hillside Game Ranch, each animal hunt offers a unique and rewarding experience:

Buffalo Hunts

Hunting buffalo is an exciting challenge due to their massive size and sharp senses. These iconic animals roam the dense woods of the preserve, providing an unforgettable hunting adventure.

Red Stag Hunts

Red stag are renowned for their majestic antlers and elusive nature. Their antlers shed in mid-March and regrow by September, making each season a new and exciting experience for hunters.

Fallow Deer Hunts

Fallow deer, with their distinctive spotted coats and elegant antlers, are a popular choice for hunters. Agile and alert, they navigate the preserve’s 1000 acres of dense woods, offering an engaging hunt.

Sika Deer Hunts

Sika deer are small and elusive, requiring precision and patience. Their unique vocalizations and agility make them a fascinating target for hunters exploring our rugged terrain.

Russian Wild Boar Hunts

Russian wild boar are known for their toughness and cunning. These formidable animals provide an adrenaline-filled challenge as they navigate the dense woods of our game preserve.

 

 

What to Expect

All game preserve hunts include:

  • Two days of hunting
  • Your selected animal
  • Home-cooked meals
  • Two nights of lodging in our modern lodge
  • Transportation and guide service

Extra nights at the ranch can be added for only $150, which includes an evening meal and lodging.

 

The Perfect Hunting Challenge

We have 1000 acres of dense woods which provides for a great challenge. Our hunting towers are comfortable and effective. Any weapon that you would use for bear hunting or deer hunting including black powder and archery can be used on the game ranch. Red stag and fallow deer start shedding in mid-March and return by September. The average shooting range on the game preserve is between 30 and 100 yards, depending on what type of weapon you choose.
